Special Projects
Les Miserables Flashmob
Marketing Director Melissa Mason Braillard and I led Orlando Shakes in creating a flashmob of One Day More from our production of Les Miserables at the Mall at Millenia over Labor Day Weekend 2014. It played locally on WESH Channel 2 on the 11:00PM news that night and nationwide the next morning to 7 million viewers on Good Morning America and The Today Show. Les Miserables became the highest attended show of Orlando Shakes at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. The YouTube video of the flashmob has over 14 million views.

Angel Action Wings
After the Pulse Tragedy in 2016, we organized the Orlando Angel Action Wings Project against the Westboro Baptist Church at the funeral of Drew Leinonen. Our protest was modeled after Romaine Patterson's original protest against them in Laramie, Wyoming at the funeral of Matthew Shepard.

With the help of many volunteers and donors from Orlando Shakes, Disney, and the local theatre community, we expanded from 12 to 49 Wings, which first appeared at a benefit at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center.

The Angels appeared at many events over the next two years, at which time we donated them to The Center, Orlando's LGBTQ+ non-profit organization. The Angels continue to appear at events to this day.
